So earlier this week I hit 8000 likes on my Facebook page, never did I think after only just under seven months did I think my small blog would reach that!! So I decided to write a small blog post on why I decided to take up blogging
In June 2014 I attempted to set up a blog but confidence which is a huge thing and it was definitely something I lacked, honestly got the better of me and I just couldn’t finish setting it up, I just thought nobody would be the slightest bit interested in what I had to say :)) So it literally just got swept under the rug but it was always something in the back of my mind that I would of love to do!
A year later in June 2015 I qualified as a Beauty therapist, it was the best thing I ever did, I absolutely loved every minute of it! After qualifying I had planned to start my work experience and to start a make-up course and I was so excited!
Unfortunately four weeks after qualifying I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, Literally everything changed, I felt my whole life was put on pause and it was the only thing I could ever think about! My work experience and my make-up course was all put on the back burner. I ended up having two operations and after a knock back I finally got the treatment ‘Radioactive Iodine’ done last week! It’s not the worst Cancer to be diagnosed with but it’s far from easy to go through! You learn so much as you go through it, you look at life totally different.
One thing I always had was my love for beauty and fashion, and just over a week after being diagnosed, and with a little push from my family and friends I decided to bite the bullet and set up my blog! I was so nervous, but I’m so happy I done it and so grateful for how far its come in just under seven months! Even if I just had 8 followers rather than the 8000 I would still enjoy doing it! There is so many beauty and fashion blogs out there now, but I don’t see them as competition, I see them as a community and I just love seeing Blogger’s supporting other Blogger’s! 🙂
So a week after having my treatment, I’m looking to the future and I’m excited to finally start my work experience, hopefully start a make-up course, get my fitness and diet back on track because I literally cant run up the stairs without falling in a heap at the moment :)) and get back to some form of normality in the coming weeks. And most of all I’m so excited to see how far my blog will go 🙂 And also I’m turning the big 21 this Sunday and even though I wont be able to celebrate for another few weeks the wait will be worth it and I will no doubt be celebrating in style :)) :))
The key is to just stay positive and if you have the support that I have I can only stay positive because I am beyond blessed 😡
Thank you so much for reading 😡
Also don’t forget today is Daffodil day, so try and donate any way you can 🙂
