When I was asked by ITWBN to be one of the 20 VIP bloggers to attend the Galway fashion trail, I jumped at the chance!! After an absolutely great day at the Athlone fashion trail I knew this wouldn’t disappoint! Of course me, my mam and my aunt decided to head up the night before. We stayed at the The Connacht hotel, where we enjoyed a fab meal and a few drinks and had an absolutely great night!!
Our First stop on the trail was the Colm Quinn BMW, who where one of the sponsors of the fashion trail and they gave us a fabulous breakfast and they had their finest cars on show!! I think we were all eyeing up potential cars to add to the Christmas list!! (I wish) :))
We then got chauffeured into town in style and our first stop was Colette Latchford Fashion. Where there was stunning pieces from brands such as ‘Marella’ ‘Darcy’ and ‘Onjenu’.
Next was Greenes shoes who are 25 years in business!! They had some well known brands like sketchers, vans, Fly, Amy Huberman and Ruby shoes! And just to keep in mind for the month of November they are doing a campaign called ‘Sole Mates’ where they are collecting shoes for homeless people. They also had accessories on show from The Galway hat shop where we visited after and got to try on some fabulous hats!
Next was The Treasure chest who are 50 years in business!! They had a selection of clothing, crystal, pottery and linen. We also got to see the fabulous talent of Colin Burke!! His pieces were just amazing!! Milliner Suzie Mahony also had pieces on show!
Next on the trail was Willow where they had clothing from brands including Ted baker, Vero Moda, Noisy May and Essential.
We built up an appetite and we got absolutely spoilt for lunch at Caprice. The quality and choice of food was fab!!
After lunch we headed to Rococo where they had some stunning pieces on show!!
Next was Choice Boutique where they had brands like Salsa jeans, Adini and Bellenissa!
Kilkenny shop was next and WOW the selection of jewellery and clothing was fab!! You could feel the Christmas vibe as soon as you walked in and they kindly gifted us with a Dyrberg/Kern ring which will be arriving in a few weeks!! (eek)
Lastly we visited Harper where they had a stunning range of cocktail and evening dresses, and we also got to see some head pieces and jewellery from Brid o Driscoll!!
To wrap it all up there was an after party at The Front Door Pub where they had a few nibbles waiting for us and a well needed drink!! Had an absolutely great day with all the ITWBN bloggers and special thanks to all the sponsors and the models from Catwalk model agency who did a fab job!!
I’m ashamed to say it was my first time in Galway, and I am so so impressed and definitely will be back very soon!!!
